Welcome Back!

Welcome to the new Fundie Watch! I'm back, bringing you more wackiness from the Religious Right.

If this is your first time here, I'll give you a little rundown of what to expect. I'm a liberal, feminist, and atheist, but have no problem with conservatives, men, or religious people (and in fact, I am a dude.) I believe in live and let live, but when you start trying to legislate religion, I get a little miffed. I, unlike the fundies, am aware that the First Amendment contains both an Establishment Clause and a Free Exercise clause, and I'll defend them both.

What else? I respect our troops, but don't respect war. I don't disrespect anyone's religion, but am vehemently opposed to anyone trying to use their religion as a club. That includes in government, in school, and in the private lives of people who don't want it.

Finally, as a lawyer by training, I tend to focus on legal topics and analysis. Don't worry; anything that needs explaining, I'll explain.

So stick around. It should be another fun ride.

When you said you were going to start writing again, I had no idea you meant at a new site. It looks good, btw. :o)

I'm so glad you are back! I wasn't aware you are a lawyer. I guess that means you can't use the IANAL cop-out, like I do. ;-)

Concerning your comment in response to Harold B. Estes comment on this being a Christian Nation. Perhaps you are not a student of American History. Perhaps you listen to a lecture by someone who is. David Barton is a well known scholar and speaker on the founding of our great Republic. Hear is a link to one of his presentation concerning the U.S as a Christian nation.

Only just re-found your blog, via Bay of Fundie. So glad to have done so!
I don't comment much, but I'm an avid reader.
To be vaguely sycophantic- I like the way your no-holds-barred ridiculing of the articles you critique is backed up with data.
